At ILS, we strive to always be up to date and at the forefront of our environmental impacts.
In this context, we have identified the areas where we impact our environment. For these areas, a series of policies have been established that set the direction and ambition for our environmental work within the company.
ILS’ environmental policy
1. Recycling, waste and chemistry
The area of recycling and waste is divided into the following:
a. Office
Environmentally friendly office supplies are chosen, such as eco-labeled copy paper. In addition, the emphasis is placed on printing only what is absolutely necessary on paper. Everything that can be done online is preferred. ILS has taken an active stance against plastic in everyday business operations.
b. Storage and packaging
As much material as possible must be recycled. Therefore, according to ILS, employees in the warehouse ensure that packaging is recycled for packaging of inventory items, etc. Furthermore, at ILS it is important that only the absolutely necessary packaging is used to reduce the consumption of plastic and polystyrene.
c. Disposal of reagents, chemicals, and removal of used instruments.
ILS ensures that only ordered products are always ordered and dispatched. This ensures that there is no greater waste of reagents for disposal in terms of storage. It is ILS’ goal to minimize waste and the disposal of reagents.
2. Waste management
ILS has chosen to have waste management within the company in accordance with the applicable legislation in this area issued by the Danish Energy Agency regarding laws and regulations in the waste sector. Furthermore, ILS follows the collection system and waste sorting of the respective municipality.
3. UN Sustainable Development Goals
As part of efforts to reduce environmental impact, ILS as a company will work for and with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

4. Legal requirements and ongoing improvements
ILS complies with the environmental requirements in effect at all times and aims to never receive a complaint or order for non-compliance with environmental legislation. ILS also works to continuously improve its environmental management system to minimize our environmental impacts for the benefit of the environment.
