Thrombomate® XRA
ILS offers a wide product portfolio within aggregate measurement technology.
Since 1992, ILS has provided specialist knowledge and technical solutions to Danish hospital laboratories. With Thrombomate XRA, you get a robust platform for platelet function analyses that supports efficient workflow. We ensure your continuous operation through dedicated support, preventive maintenance, and quick troubleshooting, so your laboratory can always deliver accurate results on time.

Thrombocyte function test: aggregometry
Thrombomate® XRA
Fully automatic walk-away system for Thrombocyte function testing by light transmission aggregation (LTA) from Behnk Elektronik. LTA is considered the ’gold standard’ in aggregometry.
Thrombomate® XRA delivers high-quality results of platelet function tests, and meets the growing demand for standardization of aggregometry.
The Thrombomate® XRA can perform 25 tests in 1 hour. The hands-on time is enormously reduced compared to semi-automatic systems, and the operation does not require specially trained personnel. This enables 24/7 availability, whereas previously this could only be offered during the day.
Standardization
Samples of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are homogenized by inversion under consistent conditions. Subsequent cap-piercing and pipetting, as well as all further processes, take place in accordance with fixed protocols to maintain precise and consistent analytical cycles.
Thrombomate XRA measures LTA directly in PRP. It does not require platelet-poor plasma. This enables a detailed LTA analysis from less than 3 ml of PRP.
Cassettes containing standardized reagents in accordance with ISTH recommendations provide comparability between laboratories.
User-friendly and secure
The instrument is extremely user-friendly and is operated via intuitive software. No special operator skills are required. By minimizing the operating steps compared to a manual method, potential errors are massively reduced.
Positive sample and reagent identification via barcode system as well as pre-set specific concentrations of the reagents make aggregometry possible in all laboratories 24/7.
Measuring principle
The light transmission aggregometry (LTA) is referred to as the ’gold standard’ in platelet function testing.
Bi-chromatic optical detection ensures high-quality results even in challenging samples (haemolytic, icteric, lipemic).
